Cooling off
Today when Mom came home to walk I didn't want to go outside. It was too hot. So when she made me walk, I found some nice cool grass to lie down on and roll around on. I refused to get up and Mom had to pick me up and set me on my feet, then quickly walk so that I couldn't lie down again. Later on, she played with me and my rope toy. But I wanted to keep playing and she wouldn't so I barked and nipped at her. Dad got on all fours and chased me into the kitchen. Then he hid and jumped out at me when I came near the door. I didn't like that at all!

The Big Bang
Dad went out to get some ices. They smelled really good and I sat there and barked at Dad and Mom but they wouldn't give me any. When Dad was done, he took the paper bag they came in and blew it up like a big balloon. I think he wanted to scare me. Mom said he was being mean. He made the bag pop with a big bang, but I didn't even jump. Mom laughed cause his trick had failed.
Dad in the morning
Today was great! Dad got up in the morning and brought me downstairs. We went for a walk and he fed me and it was great! When we went for our walk, the sprinklers were on so I went to investigate. Then minute I walked over to the sprinkler it turned around and attacked me by spraying me in the face!! I was not amused but Dad was. Later I got to spend time with Mom in the living room. Then Mr. B came over and petted me!

All by myself
Yesterday was the saddest day ever! I was all alone. Mom brought me downstairs in the morning, I got to see Dad briefly and then they left me all alone. I howled for a while to show how hurt I was. It was a long, long day. Then all of a sudden, Mom and Dad were back! I hopped around in excitement! I jumped up to lick Dad but he didn't want me jumping on him. I went to lick Mom's legs, but they weren't her legs! She was wearing something that covered her legs but you could still see her legs and it did not taste very good. They took me for a walk and gave me some food to eat but I wasn't hungry. I just wanted to play with them-so I sat by the gate and whined in my soft and sad way. They ignored me and left again! Even worse was that they did not turn on a light for me in the kitchen. So when it got dark outside, it got dark inside too. I lay on the floor and waited. Finally after a long, long time, Mom and Dad came back! But we still didn't get to play! Dad took me for a walk and then stuck me upstairs in my crate-without even a treat! This morning was a little better. Mom played with me in the kitchen. But they still owe me a LOT of play and snuggling time!

10 minutes
My new toy! AT bought me this canteen to play with before he left. Dad decided to give it to me last night at 8:30pm because I had eaten my rope toy. Mom and Dad made a bet about how long it would last. Dad said it would last until today because I would be going to bed in an hour. Mom just laughed. At 8:40pm this is what it looked like. I think I broke my own personal best record!

Obviously I'm here to amuse Mom
Mom and I just got back from a short walk. It is too hot to go for a long one. Mom put me in the kitchen and gave me a bowl of ice cubes. I licked one and it stuck to my beard. So I lay there with the ice cube hanging. Mom looked at me and laughed. I swung my head around and finally the ice cube fell off-so I ate it to punish it for it's impudence. Then Mom gave me some baby carrots which I toss around the kitchen to tenderize before eating.

The Great Escape!-Part 1
Last night I finally go to put all my planning and plotting to work! Mom brought me upstairs and put me in my crate. I noticed that she did not jiggle my crate door to check it, and I had to stop myself from bouncing around in my crate with excitement. I waited for Mom to fall asleep which didn't take long. Then! The moment I'd been waiting for! I threw myself (quietly) against the crate door until it popped open and then I carefully crept out. FREEDOM! What to do first I pondered. I snuck around the bed and sniffed for something good to chew on. I found one of Dad's sock and chewed on that for a while, then I threw caution to the wind and ran madly around the room. Unfortunately, I made some noise and Mom woke up. She lay there for a while trying to figure out what the noise was and where it was coming from. Oh no! I realized that I had forgotten to shut the crate door back up. Mom rolled over and felt the front of the crate and realized the door was open. Now she knew I had escaped. I didn't move a muscle until she got out of bed and went to turn the light on. Then I grabbed her flip flop and ran for the safety of the closet. She cornered me in the closet and put me in front of my crate. I didn't want to go back in, but she made me! Then Dad came in the room. Mom was laughing when she told him of my great escape. I was mad that I was back in my crate, so I just lay there and grumbled and plotted my next escape.
