It's raining food
Today was a good day! I sat in the kitchen with Mom and food kept falling on the ground. Usually Mom isn't so messy! I got some sweet potato and some apple and some chestnut! Then Dad came in and gave me a string bean (but that was not yummy-Mom agreed with me).I got to see my Grandpere and my Grandpa! Dad said I could have some real gravy on my kibble later.

See Dad Run
See Dad run. Run Dad run! Last night I was a little bit naughty (that's what Dad said, Mom just thought I was very funny). We all went to bed together and I ran into my crate for my cookie. I heard Dad say that I should be sleeping in the bed. Mom said we could try (but she didn't sound very convinced). Dad got up to let me out of my crate and Mom said get ready to catch him cause he will fly out of there. Mom was right. Even though Dad was ready, he only got my back leg! He picked me up and put me on the bed. Then he made the mistake. He went to get into bed and I jumped off the bed and ran out of the room. I was so excited! Freedom I thought as I ran down the stairs. But surprisingly, Dad ran after me! And even more surprisingly, he beat me to the bottom of the stairs! I could hear Mom laughing from upstairs. He scooped me up and brought me back upstairs. This time he put the blankets over me on the bed. I tried to escape but all the routes were blocked. I crawled up to the pillows and lay on Dad's head. He told me that I was not a hat so I moved back a little. Dad's head was still there so I licked it. Dad did not appreciate that, but Mom started laughing again. Mom said that if I didn't settle down, it was back to the crate for me. I did not settle down. So Dad got up and sent me back to my crate. Unfortunately I did not get another cookie which I think was very rude. I did learn that Dad is capable of bursts of speed. I will have to get faster!

Part cat
Mom really insulted me last night. She said that I must be part cat because a) I like to wind my way between peoples legs, when they are standing or sitting and b) I am fascinated by balls of yarn. Mom is knitting something so she has a ball of blue yarn and a ball of white yarn on the couch. I desperately want these because she pays way too much attention to them when she should be paying attention to me. Whenever I can, I run over, jump up and try to grab those balls of yarn! I even try being subtle. Walking around, pretending not to be interested in them and waiting for Mom to stop watching me. It hasn't worked so far. I've been able to grab them and drool all over them, but have not been able to carry them off and eat them! Very disappointing.
And talking about disappointing, this morning I ran over to Dad's side of the bed and lay on the floor by the end of the bed, in full belly rub position! Dad would NOT get out of bed to come rub my belly! Mom laughed and said that I would be lying there forever if I was waiting for Dad to get up. I was forced to move to the front of the bed so that Dad could give me my morning belly rub without getting up.

Bunny hop
Mom and Dad were very mean and laughed at me this weekend. I was hanging out with Dad when Mom came home after a long time away. I was so excited to see and I wanted to lick her instead of giving her air kisses. But Mom is tall and I am very low to the ground. The only way to reach her was to hop like a bunny! So I hopped and got a lick in. But then I was back on the ground. So I kept hopping and getting one lick in each time. Mom and Dad started laughing about how cute I was. I agree that I am very cute but it is rude to laugh and make fun of one's disabilities (my short legs!). If Mom had sat on the couch it would have been much easier to lick her!

Working on the growl-beware thieves!
When Mom came home last night, I heard her , but I ran to the front door and she snuck in the kitchen door. I had just escaped from the bathtub where Dad was washing all my stinkiness away. I was still a little wet (well maybe a lot wet) so I ran and jumped on Mom (she was sitting on the couch making it easy to get her) and rolled all over her to dry off. Then I chewed on my antler by pushing it against her leg. This meant that her leg got all wet from antler drool. I offered to lick it off her but she took me upstairs to bed instead.Last night I did my deepest and scariest growl yet! Mom said that she is going to video me so everyone can see how fierce I am and how devoted I am to protecting that cookie in my crate from thieves!

Everyone knows where Mom stands
Mom wasn't home last night. Just me and Dad. Unfortunately the stuffed animal that Mom had sewed and given to me did not sit well in my belly. I was sick this morning. It's all Mom's fault for having given it to me. When Mom came home she was not all comforting and kind. She said that I should have learned by now not to eat non-food items! Then she told me what Rigby's sister, Grace said. She said that Mom was 13th in my heart (and it's so true!). Here is a list of the things I LOVE-although Grace forgot some so I added them in: 1. Andre Thomas 2. Dad 3. my antler 4. Grandpa 5. Grandma 6. Rigby and Grace 7. Carrots 8. Sweet Potatoes 9. Socks (as a snack! the stinkier the better!-I know my bff Rigby agrees!) 10. My soccer ball 11. sticks that are longer than me 12. stuffed animal appendages and 13. (at the moment cause I very well might come up with more things I love) MOM.

A warning growl
I do not approve of Mom's new method of bringing me up and down the stairs.Just because her arm is aching she claims not to be able to carry me. So now I am forced to walk up and down the stairs-mostly she drags me up and down by my leash! The big problem with this is that she has control of me and I cannot run full speed into my crate to get my cookie. This leaves my cookie open to thieves. So now when we make it up the stairs (which mind you is like scaling Mount Everest for my tiny legs!!!), I am forced to sit near my crate and wait for Mom to take off my collar. I am very concerned about my cookie though, so while I sit there (patiently!) and Mom fiddles with my collar I narrow my eyes and growl menacingly at the crate so that no one goes near it. As soon as Mom releases me, I fly into my crate and grab my cookie. So far I haven't found someone trying to steal it, but you never know. A growl a day keeps a thief away!
