What is up with Mom and Dad?

This morning Dad got up and let me out of my crate! I was so excited! I followed him out into the hallway and then he went downstairs-but he forgot me! I lay sadly at the top of the stairs. He tried to tempt me down with treats, but no go. Finally he figured it out and came back upstairs to get me. I don't know why Mom and Dad are being so forgetful about me lately.
